Ingredients

1 cup(s) Ketchup
1 cup(s) Dark Brown Sugar (packed)
1/2 cup(s) Bourbon
1 tablespoon(s) Lemon Juice (Fresh is best!)
1 tablespoon(s) Worcestershire Sauce
2 pound(s) Frozen Meatballs

Combine first five ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

Place the frozen meatballs in a crock pot, pour the whiskey sauce mixture on top, and fold to ensure that the meatballs are coated with sauce.

Turn the heat on high for about an hour, stirring occasionally, until meatballs are thawed.  Reduce heat to low for 30 minutes, or less, ensuring you don't burn the sauce!

NOTE: Regular Italian meatballs work well in this sauce, but the Aidells Teriyaki & Pineapple Chicken Meatballs are a tasty change of pace.

This appetizer can also be prepared in a regular stove top pot, with thawed meatballs, but you must watch it closely so the sauce doesn't burn!
